# Advice for solopreneurs
- Nobody is coming to save you
- If you don't respect people's time, they won't respect yours
- The best entrepreneurs know how to teach themselves
- You learn 100x more by trying than by reading about someone else
- If you don't know how to sell, you're going to struggle
- Thick skin is a prerequisite for building in public
- You go 10x faster by supporting people, not tearing them down
- No matter how good your product is, someone will hate it
- Price whatever you offer at a rate you'd be comfortable paying
- Your network can either speed you up or slow you down
- Stop reading 50+ business books. Just get started
- Stop asking everyone, and start figuring shit out on your own
- If people root for you to fail, cut them out of your life
- Always over-communicate
- Assume you can learn something from everyone
- Assume everyone you talk to is also full of sh*t
- Your business heroes are regular people who took action
- If you can make $1, you can make $1,000
- If you can make $1,000 you can probably make $100k
- Don't ask random people questions. Ask your customers
- You don't need meditation and sunlight. You need action
- Don't "find a mentor". Do interesting things & attract mentors
- Promote yourself online every day
- Write daily for at least 30 minutes
- Ignore haters. They are the least interesting people
- Help others and let them reciprocate. If they never do, move on
- Go to therapy and be honest
- Drink less alcohol
- Start with one revenue stream, but diversify shortly after
- Anyone selling instant results is a con
- Systems beat motivation & discipline every time
- Quit focusing on tools and tech. Just use what you know
- Experiment often, but never with 2 new variables
- Use data to create better content
- Never plagiarize people but borrow
- Stop trying to be cool. Be successful. Cool will come
- You're a lot less clever than you think you are. Be clear
- Be on time for important things. You're not a teenager
- Pessimists are often right. Optimists are often wealthy
- Arguing online is a waste of time and energy
- Don't be arrogant, but have a mindset that you can do anything
- You never know what will resonate. Try a lot of different things
- Don't argue with your customers
- Everyone has the same 24 hours. It's how you use it
- It's not helpful to study Elon and Bezos if you're making $0
- Quitters win a lot because they know when to give up
- You can't control your past
- You are 100% responsible for your future
