# Autonomic nervous system The autonomic nervous system has two functions: - One that regulates involuntary bodily functions (e.g., breathing, digestion, arousal) - Parasympathetic nervous system - Mnemonic device: "Feed and breed" or "rest and digest" - Another associated with the sympathetic nervous system - Handles the "fight or flight" response
