# Maslow's Hierarchy of needs Idea in [[Psychology (MoC)|Psychology]] proposed by [[Abraham Maslow]] in a paper from 1943 called "A Theory of Human Motivation", in "Psychological Review". The most fundamental needs are at the bottom. Those have the most priority, and the ones above can't be fulfilled if the ones below aren't. If you don't have food, you will focus on that first and foremost. ![[Maslow's Hierarchy of needs.png]] Another representation, highlighting the basics, psychological and self-fulfillment needs: ![[Maslow's Hierarchy of needs alternative.png]] This graph is also interesting. ![[Maslow's Hierarchy of needs - graph.png]] ## References - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maslow%27s_hierarchy_of_needs
