# AI Assistants An AI Assistant is the most generic form of AI-augmented Knowledge Work. An AI assistant is "something" that uses AI to assist you (the human) increase/improve your inputs and outputs. Using an AI assistant, you can for instance: - Be more productive - Make better decisions - Organize yourself better - Organize your work better - Learn faster - Improve plans - Create content - Execute tasks (i.e., [[AI Agents]]) - ... I personally make a distinction between AI Assistants and [[AI Agents]]. To me, AI Assistants are a superset of AI Agents, which focus almost entirely on *taking concrete actions* for you or your business.
