# Anysphere
Anysphere is the company behind [[Cursor.com|Cursor]]. Four MIT students, [[Michael Truell]], Sualeh Asif, Arvid Lunnemark, and Aman Sanger, founded it in 2022. [[Michael Truell|Truell]] is CEO. The company is based in San Francisco and stayed small for its scale, around 300 people through 2025.
## Growth
The revenue curve is the headline. Cursor's annual recurring revenue hit $500M by June 2025, crossed $1B by November 2025, and was reported above $2B by early 2026. Funding tracked it closely:

The seed round came from the OpenAI Startup Fund.
## Products and acquisitions
The product that matters is [[Cursor.com|Cursor]], the AI code editor. Anysphere also runs Graphite, a code-review tool it acquired in December 2025. It picked up Supermaven (autocomplete) in November 2024 and the Koala team in July 2025, mostly for talent and technology.
