# Bases Toolbox plugin for Obsidian Bases Toolbox is an [[Obsidian]] community plugin by Grub Basket. It's a set of quality-of-life tools for [[Obsidian Bases]] and [[Obsidian Properties|properties]], opened from a launcher (the wrench icon in the ribbon). Its headline feature is find and replace for property values across the vault. The tools I find most useful: - **Find & replace**: rename or merge a value everywhere (e.g. `todo` → `to-do`), on the whole vault or only the rows an open Base shows. It works on list properties too - **Property index**: every property, its values, and the notes that use them - **Bulk edit base results**: change a property on the notes a Base is showing, or fill it only where it's missing - **Format doctor**: fix values stored in the wrong format (dates, numbers…) - It also stops number properties from changing when you press the arrow keys Every tool that changes notes logs the change, and you can revert it from the History view (best effort: files edited again in the meantime are skipped). Consistent values are what make Bases filters reliable: one typo in a status, and that note disappears from every view that filters on it.
