# Claude Marketplace
The Claude Marketplace (claude.com/marketplace) is [[Anthropic]]'s storefront for the connectors, plugins, partner products and service partners you can use with [[Claude]]. Its tagline: "Connect your apps, data and tools to Claude". The page has three sections, named after verbs:
- Add: more than 2,000 connectors and plugins, from Google Drive, Gmail, Calendar and Microsoft 365 to Notion, Slack, Asana, Linear, monday.com, Canva, Figma and HubSpot
- Buy: agents and products built by partners. Factory, [[Cursor]] and [[Vercel]] cover code, Gamma covers data, and CrowdStrike sells Charlotte AI for security
- Scale: service partners from the Claude Partner Network, split into Global Premier partners (Accenture, Deloitte) and Preferred partners (Caylent, Slalom)
The page says purchases "count toward your existing Anthropic commitment". If your company already signed a spend commitment with Anthropic, buying a partner's agent through the marketplace draws from that budget, without a new vendor contract or a separate procurement round. My take is in [[2026-10-04 Claude Marketplace - Anthropic is building the distribution layer]].
The page also lists the ways in: a submission path for connectors and plugins, a partner program for agents and products, and an application for the Claude Partner Network. It doesn't publish any revenue share details.
## How it relates to Claude Code plugin marketplaces
The word "marketplace" covers three different things around Claude:
1. Plugin marketplaces in Claude Code: a git repository (or URL) with a `.claude-plugin/marketplace.json` file. Anyone can create one, and you add it with `/plugin marketplace add your-org/repo`. Anthropic's own is `claude-plugins-official`, available by default. This is how [[Claude Code Plugins]] and [[Claude Code Mods]] get shared, with no storefront and no payment
2. The Claude directory (claude.ai/directory/manage), where publishers submit their work to Anthropic. The mods launch guide tells you to publish mods there
3. The Claude Marketplace (claude.com/marketplace), the commercial side: connectors and plugins to add, partner products to buy, service partners to hire
The sources I have don't say whether something listed in the directory shows up on the marketplace automatically, so I wouldn't assume it.
## My take
I read this as Anthropic building an App Store around Claude. Because purchases count toward the commitment, partners get access to enterprise budgets that are already approved, and that spend stays with Anthropic.
For individual developers, nothing changes yet: you still share plugins and mods through git-based marketplaces, for free. Anthropic hasn't published revenue share terms, so I don't see why an indie author would list there, and the Buy section looks reserved for big partners for now.
