# Clew plugin for Obsidian Clew is an [[Obsidian]] community plugin by Christian Luger that analyzes the link graph of your vault instead of only drawing it. The [[Graph view core plugin for Obsidian|core Graph view]] shows that notes are connected; Clew tells you which notes matter in that graph and how groups of notes relate. What it computes: - **Hubs**: notes many other notes point to, ranked by link count and by PageRank (Google's original algorithm, where a link from another hub counts more) - **Bridges**: notes that connect two groups of notes that would otherwise be separate. Those are often your most interesting notes, because they connect two topics - **Communities**: clusters of notes that link to each other more than to the rest. Clew flags clusters spread across many folders (a sign that your folders don't match how you actually think) and "stale clusters" nobody has edited in a long time - **Find path**: the chain of links between two notes. Ask how a book note connects to a project, and you see the notes in between - **Diagnostics**: a panel listing orphans and broken links Open it from its ribbon icon or the `Open graph view` command. You pick a layout (force-directed, or radial around a chosen note by hop distance), filters, and what drives color and size (activity, structure…). A timeline replays how your vault grew. It's the maintained successor to the Graph Analysis plugin, which is no longer listed in the community directory (BRAT can still install it, but only an old build without the latest fixes). It's also a good replacement for [[Juggl plugin for Obsidian|Juggl]], which hasn't been updated since 2023. It runs on mobile.
