# Discipline doesn't scale, automation does Manual upkeep fails for two reasons: you forget, and you improvise. Not sometimes. Always, eventually. Discipline is a finite resource; it runs out precisely on the busy days when the system matters most. So if a practice matters, don't rely on remembering it. Encode it. A template, a linter rule, a script, an AI skill. I never type `created` by hand in my notes: the template does it, gets the format right, and never forgets.
