# Distributed Apps (dApps) With traditional Cloud computing providers like AWS, Google Cloud or Azure, providers can terminate your contract. Code can run on [[Cryptocurrencies]]. Those are called Distributed Apps, or dApps. With those, once code is deployed, it's possible to relinquish control of it, and it will keep running as long as anybody feeds it money.
