# Extract URL plugin for Obsidian This plugin makes it really easy to capture external content into Obsidian. It extracts Markdown compatible with Obsidian out of URLs. Thanks to this plugin, you can paste the URL of a Website in an Obsidian note, invoke a command and have the URL be replaced by the content converted into Markdown. This plugin was created by [[Stephen Solka]]. ## Maintenance status Checked on 2026-10-09: the last release is 0.12.1 (2022-05-31). No new release in more than 12 months doesn't mean the plugin is broken. Many small plugins are simply done: they do one thing and keep working as long as Obsidian's APIs don't change. It's enabled in my own vault and still loads and works fine on Obsidian 1.14.4.
