A free PDF you can keep next to your vault._ ## What it is A free PDF that condenses my series [[The Complete Guide to Obsidian Search - Find Any Note When You Need It (Article)]] into a few pages you can keep open while you work: - **The cheat sheet.** The commands and operators worth remembering: the quick switcher, the Search operators, Bases queries, the Obsidian CLI, ripgrep and fzf, and the qmd commands. - **The search escalation ladder.** The order in which to reach for tools, from the cheapest to the most powerful: the quick switcher for a title, Search for a phrase, properties and Bases for a date or a status, backlinks and the graph for a related note, and semantic search or an AI agent when you only remember the idea. The cheat sheet tells you what to type. The paid book, [[The Obsidian Search Handbook]], explains why it works, in 254 pages with exercises: designing notes you can find, structuring a vault, the built-in tools, the terminal, plugins and AI search. ## Who it is for Obsidian users who can find most things, but lose time on the rest: Search returns too many results, or the note exists and you can't remember what you called it.
