# Improved Random Note plugin for Obsidian Improved Random Note, by shockthunder, is a better random note command for "wandering mode": opening notes at random to stumble on old ideas again. Compared to the core [[Random note core plugin for Obsidian|Random note]] plugin, it can: - Exclude folders (archives, templates and other service folders) - Limit the draw to notes with a given tag, combined with the folder exclusions - Open the random note in a new pane - Do all that without an intermediate search term It was built for the Russian "Second Brain" project (second-brain.ru). Small and simple.
