# Journal View plugin for Obsidian Journal View, by RUverse, shows all your daily notes as one continuous timeline that you can scroll through and edit in place. It uses your existing notes and your [[Daily notes core plugin for Obsidian|Daily notes]] settings: no special format, no duplicate files. - A calendar to jump to any date, and one click back to today - Search across your entries, and a random past day - Filters by tag or property value, with include and exclude rules - Optionally, the files you created or edited on each day, next to that day's note - Statistics on how much you've written over the years It runs locally: no network requests, no telemetry, no account. Obsidian staff haven't reviewed it manually yet. For resurfacing, it pairs well with [[Daily Echoes plugin for Obsidian|Daily Echoes]]: Journal View to read through time, Daily Echoes for "on this day". ## References - Source code: https://github.com/ruverse/journal-view - Community plugin page: https://obsidian.md/plugins?id=journal-view ## Related - [[The Complete Guide to Obsidian Search - Find Any Note When You Need It (Article)]] - [[Resurfacing in Obsidian - Find the Notes You Forgot You Had (Article)]] - [[Daily notes core plugin for Obsidian]] - [[Daily Echoes plugin for Obsidian]] - [[Journal Bases plugin for Obsidian]]
