Launching a product too soon can be a risky game. But it's a high-risk high-reward game.
Launching too soon can damage your reputation, but it can also help you move faster in the right direction. Negative initial feedback can be a [[Forcing function]] to help you improve the product.
If you are honest and manage to convince the very first customers that you will deliver on your promise no matter what. Then you might turn disappointed customers into vocal supporters.
When I launched my Obsidian Starter Kit, I launched "too soon" on purpose. I told the first customers that I did so in order to validate demand. I told them that now that I had validation, I was going to put all the time and energy necessary to deliver on my promise. Either they accepted, or I would offer them a full refund. This worked wonders!
