# LifeOS
A LifeOS is an operating system for your life. It's a *system* (cfr [[Systems thinking]]) designed to help you life a *better* life.
Here, "better" life means anything you want: more productive, more organize, more impactful, more in service of others, more relaxed, etc. It can be anything you want.
The goal of such a system is to help you manage, organize and "optimize" all the aspects of your life with systematic approaches and efficiency.
A LifeOS is a framework that integrates various approaches, methodologies, tools, practices, activities, workflow, etc into a cohesive whole.
It encompasses everything from how you want your life to be like in 10 years to what you want to do next week, how you want to organize your files, manage your finances, etc.
Key "sub-systems" of a LifeOS may include things such as:
- Personal Organization
- Clarity
- Productivity
- Time Management
- Attention/Focus Management
- ...
- Information Management
- Knowledge Management
- Journaling
- ...
- ...
Importantly, with a LifeOS, the emphasis is on building sustainable systems. It's about optimizing one's happiness and fulfillment, not about pure efficiency (which is not sustainable and detrimental to health anyway). And to be sustainable, a LifeOS must not rely on motivation or willpower alone.
A LifeOS is thus a sustainable system that aims to create clarity, reduce mental overhead, and live more intentionally. It helps align daily actions with long-term values and objectives.
Last but not least, a LifeOS needs to be agile. It needs to adapt to you and your evolution. The system should evolve along with you, based on your needs, your goals, your circumstances, ...
