# Limbic system The Limbic system is the center of our emotions. ## Origin Idea proposed by [[James Papez]] in 1930 and initially called The Papez circuit. He proposed the idea that [[Emotions (MoC)|Emotions]] were created through a circuit, connecting various parts of the brain: The Papez circuit, also known as the limbic system. He envisioned a mechanism of Emotions, describing how emotions are created, how emotions are processed, how emotions are linked to memory, how emotions are linked to hormones, etc
