# Link Unlinked Mentions plugin for Obsidian
Link Unlinked Mentions is an [[Obsidian]] community plugin by Jordan Vasu. It's the batch version of the "Link" button of the [[Backlinks core plugin for Obsidian|core Backlinks plugin]]: instead of linking unlinked mentions one by one, you link all of them in one pass.
Run `Link mentions of other notes in current note` (or click its ribbon icon). The plugin:
1. collects the titles and aliases of every other note in your vault
2. scans the current note for plain-text occurrences of them
3. shows each match with its context
4. links the ones you confirm ("Link N mentions")
It leaves text alone in properties, code blocks and inline code, math, existing links, Markdown links, tags and HTML comments. When two notes share the same title or alias, it reports the ambiguous term instead of guessing which note you meant.
Two caveats. It works on the current note only, and it edits that note in place, which isn't reversible without a backup. And it's new and not manually reviewed by Obsidian staff, so test it on a copy of your vault first.
It pairs well with semantic tools that resurface notes: once a related note comes back, turning the mention into a real link makes the connection survive the plugin. For linking across the whole vault automatically, see [[Automatic Linker plugin for Obsidian|Automatic Linker]].
