# Miracle Morning
The Miracle Morning is a personal development method created by [[Hal Elrod]], based on the idea that how you start your morning sets the tone for the rest of your day. The core premise: dedicating the first hour (or even just a few minutes) of your day to intentional personal growth creates compounding positive effects on every area of life.
The method centers on the [[SAVERS framework]] — six practices performed each morning:
- **Silence** — meditation, prayer, or quiet reflection
- **Affirmations** — reprogramming limiting beliefs through positive statements
- **Visualization** — mentally rehearsing goals and ideal outcomes
- **Exercise** — physical movement to boost energy and focus
- **Reading** — learning from books or educational content
- **Scribing** — journaling thoughts, gratitude, and reflections
The framework is deliberately flexible. Each practice can take as little as one minute, making a complete Miracle Morning possible in just 6 minutes. The order and duration can be adapted to personal preference and schedule.
The underlying insight is that most people start their day reactively — checking email, scrolling social media, rushing into obligations. The Miracle Morning flips this by creating a proactive, growth-oriented start. Over time, this compounds: better clarity, more energy, stronger habits, and a greater sense of control over life direction.
Elrod developed the method after surviving a near-fatal car accident and later overcoming financial ruin during the 2008 recession. His book [[The Miracle Morning (book)|The Miracle Morning]] has sold millions of copies and sparked a global community of practitioners.
