# Pay it forward When someones helps you, you help someone else in return. It's like asymetric [[Reciprocity]]. I learned about this idea when I first saw the movie [Pay It Forward](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0223897) with actor [[Kevin Spacey]]. In that movie, a kid (played by Haley Joel Osment) tries to make the world a better place by helping others, after his teacher has given him a chance.
