# Resend Agent Skills Resend publishes a set of [[AI Agent Skills]] in the `resend/resend-skills` repository. A skill is a packaged set of instructions (and sometimes scripts) that an agent loads when the task calls for it. These ones teach an agent how to work with [[Resend]] the way the Resend team would: retries, idempotency, template structure, inbound security and deliverability rules. Why bother? An agent can read the API docs and write code that sends an email. Writing code that keeps working in production (no duplicate sends on retry, no spam-folder templates, no prompt injection through an incoming email) takes knowledge the API reference doesn't spell out. The skills fill that gap. ## Install ```bash npx skills add resend/resend-skills ``` `npx skills` is the installer from [[Skills.sh]]. The skills can also be installed as an agent plugin; in [[Claude Code]], the `resend` plugin from the official marketplace bundles them with the [[Resend MCP Server]] (see [[Claude Code Plugins]] and [[Claude Code Skills]]). ## The skills - `resend`: sending email with the API and SDKs, including batch sends, retries with exponential backoff and idempotency keys (see [[Idempotency]]) - `react-email`: building email templates as [[React]] components with React Email - `agent-email-inbox`: receiving and processing inbound email in an agent workflow, safely. An agent that reads email processes text written by strangers, so this is where you want guardrails - `email-best-practices`: general email best practices, for agents that build email features The [[Resend CLI]] has its own skill too, installed with `npx skills add resend/resend-cli`.
