# Rigid plans reduce motivation and kill creativity When a plan is too rigid, there's no room for being creative. We become slaves of the plan. All we can do is follow it like robots. This drastically reduces motivation. We can't plan everything, and certainly not our energy levels. Those vary from day to day. With rigid plans, we may be forced to work on certain things at the worst possible time, leading to sub-par results. Prefer actually agile approaches whenever possible. Spend more time thinking about the [[Most Impactful Next Task (MINT)]], and work on it when the time is right and when you can do your best work. Focus more on an approach, structure and culture that enable action.
