# Simple Note Review plugin for Obsidian Simple Note Review, by Daniel Nikolaev, walks you through review queues it calls "notesets". You define a noteset by tags, folders, frontmatter, creation date or a dataviewJS query, then go through its notes in order or at random. There's no rigid schedule. Instead, you set a note's review frequency: high, normal, low or ignore. That makes it a good fit for the notes you WANT to keep in mind (principles, [[Evergreen notes|evergreen notes]] you're developing, project ideas you're not ready to start), rather than for memorization. Two gotchas: - Queues don't update on their own: reset the queue before each session - It depends on [[Dataview plugin for Obsidian|Dataview]], which is no longer actively maintained. Keep that in mind before you build a habit on it The alternative is [[Repeat plugin for Obsidian|Repeat]], which schedules notes from their own frontmatter. ## References - Source code: https://github.com/dartungar/obsidian-simple-note-review - Community plugin page: https://obsidian.md/plugins?id=simple-note-review ## Related - [[The Complete Guide to Obsidian Search - Find Any Note When You Need It (Article)]] - [[The Best Obsidian Plugins for Finding Notes (Article)]] - [[Repeat plugin for Obsidian]] - [[Review plugin for Obsidian]] - [[Spaced repetition]] - [[Dataview plugin for Obsidian]] - [[Evergreen notes]]
