# Taskbone plugin for Obsidian Taskbone is an [[Obsidian]] community plugin by schlundd that connects your vault to the Taskbone cloud service. It does two things: OCR (extracting text and equations from images and PDFs, formatted with templates, so it becomes searchable) and a two-way sync between Obsidian tasks and Todoist, compatible with the [[Tasks plugin for Obsidian|Tasks]] plugin. You need a Taskbone account for it to work (free, with paid plans for heavy use), and your images are processed in the cloud. You may also meet Taskbone without installing this plugin: [[Excalidraw plugin for Obsidian|Excalidraw]] offers it as an optional OCR for handwriting and images inside drawings (with an API key), and puts the recognized text in the drawing's properties, where Search can find it.
