# Temporal cortex
The temporal cortex is involved in analyzing stimuli. While the [[Parietal cortex]] pushes us to direct our attention when something is coming, the temporal cortex lets us understand more about what that something is (e.g., color, shape, sound, etc).
We focus on specific details, like the shadows around an object, the pitch of a sound, etc. Our brain processes that information and integrates it with our relevant memories of past experiences. It feeds into our [[Prefrontal cortex (PFC)]].
