# Tools I use for Periodic Notes Currently, I've settled on [Obsidian](https://obsidian.md/) along with the [Periodic Notes](https://github.com/liamcain/obsidian-periodic-notes) community plugin. LINK: [[Obsidian]] The [[Periodic notes plugin for Obsidian]] is useful because it can be used to quickly create periodic notes according to pre-defined day/week/month/year templates. This helps me avoid wasting time copying and pasting things around: ![[Journaling every day is powerful Part 2 - Going Further - periodic notes plugin config.png]] I have created templates using the [[Templater plugin for Obsidian]], and whenever I create a periodic note, the [[Periodic notes plugin for Obsidian]] creates it with the appropriate name and automatically applies the template for me. I also use the [[Rollover daily todos plugin for Obsidian]] to help me move incomplete tasks from previous day(s) to the current daily note. This makes it a breeze for me to know what I was working on last (and should probably continue focusing on). ## Related - [[Periodic reviews]] - [[Naming Scheme for Periodic Review Notes]] - [[Template I use for periodic notes]] ## References - Obsidian: https://obsidian.md - Periodic Notes plugin: https://github.com/liamcain/obsidian-periodic-notes
