# Virtual Content plugin for Obsidian Virtual Content (formerly Virtual Footer, which is still its plugin ID) is an [[Obsidian]] community plugin by signynt. It displays [[Markdown]] content at the top, the bottom or in the sidebar of every note matching a rule (folder, tag or property), without writing anything into those notes. That content can include [[Dataview plugin for Obsidian|Dataview]] queries or an [[Obsidian Bases|Obsidian Base]]. For example: a "related notes" Base at the bottom of every project note, or a list of backlinked meetings under every person note. Your files stay clean, and you change the query in one place instead of in hundreds of notes. The flip side: since the content is virtual, it only exists inside Obsidian with the plugin enabled.
