# Write as you learn Whenever you learn something new, take some notes. Write as your learn in order to keep track of your discoveries. The first-order effect is that it will help you retain more of what you learn. The second-order effect is that it will allow you to teach others, which will in turn help you notice your gaps in understanding/knowledge, and learn further, as described in the [[Feynman technique]].
