I hope that you all had a great one 🤩 This week I’ve participated in the Community Growth event of Orbit. It was a week-long, but I only managed to attend the first two days. Hopefully, I’ll play catch-up later and watch the recordings. I’m really enjoying my journey into community building. This week, the [Personal Knowledge Management community](https://www.dsebastien.net/blog//2021-11-12-personal-knowledge-management-community) that I’ve launched back in August has reached 50 members 🎉 LINK: [[An online community for lifelong learners (Article)]] It takes time and lots of effort to turn an idea into a living community, but it’s really motivating to see people coming back and exchanging ideas. A fun part for me is also noticing how this initiative creates bridges between different groups of people I follow. Community building is definitely fun! Alright, let’s go! 🚀 ![[DeveloPassion's Newsletter 35 - Growth - Learned this week.png]] Caption: An overview of the notes I've added to my PKM this week ## Paid newsletter This week I’ve decided to launch a paid version of my newsletter. Here’s what I have in mind for it. First, don’t worry; the weekly edition of this newsletter will remain free. As you know, I like running small experiments; small and riskless bets as I like to call these. Creating a paid newsletter is one of those experiments. I’m exploring different possible sources of income, in the hope of being able to dedicate more time and energy to activities that I find more fulfilling, such as writing, sharing knowledge, and creating digital products. LINK: [[DeveloPassion's Newsletter 031 - Small and riskless bets]] One of the main goals I’ve already set for myself for next year is to read a lot more non-fiction books. I want to read a lot about neurosciences, personal development, motivation, success, community building, communication skills, and many more topics. As I read through those books, I intend to systematically take notes. I’ll capture the best quotes, the core ideas, and as much knowledge as I can. I’ll write a summary for each book, and I’ll take the opportunity to expand my personal knowledge base. I’ll share those summaries and lessons learned with all of my paid subscribers. Also, I’ll let them pick what I should read next. This should be fun! 🎉 👉Curious? We’re becoming professional designers, one hour at a time 😂. On a more serious note, we have learned how to use very powerful features of Figma, such as [auto layout](https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040451373-Create-dynamic-designs-with-auto-layout), how to create [components ](https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038662654-Guide-to-Components-in-Figma)and [component variants](https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360056440594-Create-and-use-variants). Progressively, we are building ourselves a solid design system: ![[DeveloPassion's Newsletter 35 - Growth - Design system.png]] Caption: Some of the components we're working on Thanks to this work, our design is getting more polished: ![[DeveloPassion's Newsletter 35 - Growth - UI Focusd.png]] Caption: UI Progress Aside from that, we have conducted a few interviews, and want to discuss with more productivity nuts like us to help us shape the product. André and I really can’t wait to start building this app! ❤️ ## Recent articles This week I have published a new article about Personal Knowledge Management: LINK: [[Personal Knowledge Management organization (Article)]] In this post, I dissect my Personal Knowledge Management system. ## How cool is that?!
