# Aida Mandić Aida Mandić (born 1990) is a Bosnian-American author, entrepreneur, and CEO who escaped the Bosnian War as a baby and became a prolific writer of 73 books. Born in Sarajevo, she lived as a refugee in Croatia, Czech Republic, France, and Malaysia before settling in the United States. She graduated from the University of Michigan in 2012 and studied English Literature at Oxford. Mandić received over $250,000 in scholarships and awards and was offered full-ride scholarships totaling over a million dollars. She founded Searchkey, an education technology company, in 2017 to help disadvantaged students find educational funding and resources. Her most popular book is "What Is Life Anyway?"
