# Andrew Hunt
Andrew Hunt (also known as Andy Hunt) is an American computer programmer, author, and consultant from Raleigh, North Carolina. He is best known as co-author of "The Pragmatic Programmer: From Journeyman to Master" (1999, 2019 20th Anniversary Edition) alongside Dave Thomas, one of the most influential software development books ever written. Hunt was one of the 17 original signatories of the Agile Manifesto and co-founded the Pragmatic Bookshelf publishing house, which specializes in books for software developers, testers, and managers. He has authored over 10 books including "Pragmatic Thinking and Learning," "Programming Ruby," and "Practices of an Agile Developer." Beyond programming, Hunt is a musician who plays trumpet, flugel horn, and keyboards, and produces music at Strange & Special Air Productions.
