# Chuck Swindoll ![[50 Resources/51 Attachments/51.03 Public/2025-08-23_Chuck_Swindoll.jpg|400]] Charles Rozell "Chuck" Swindoll (born October 18, 1934) is an evangelical Christian pastor, author, educator, and radio preacher. He is the founding pastor of Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco, Texas, and founder of Insight for Living Ministries, which airs a radio program on more than 2,000 stations around the world. Swindoll served as the fourth president of Dallas Theological Seminary (1994-2001) and now serves as its chancellor emeritus. He is a former U.S. Marine who recognized his calling to ministry while stationed in Okinawa. After being honorably discharged, he enrolled in Dallas Theological Seminary, graduating magna cum laude in 1963 with three major honors. For more than 50 years, Chuck's pulpit ministry has emphasized the grace of God alongside an uncompromising commitment to practical, biblical truth and its application. He has authored more than 70 books and received numerous awards, including being ranked second to Rev. Billy Graham in a 2009 survey of 800 Protestant pastors naming the living Christian preachers who most influenced them.
