# Craig McLuckie Craig McLuckie is a software entrepreneur and one of the three co-creators of [[Kubernetes]] at Google, alongside [[Joe Beda]] and [[Brendan Burns]]. He was a product manager at Google and played a key role in shaping Kubernetes' direction and advocating for its open-source release. After leaving Google, McLuckie co-founded Heptio with Joe Beda in 2016 to accelerate Kubernetes adoption in enterprises. VMware acquired Heptio in 2018. He then founded Stacklok, a company focused on software supply chain security, building tools to help developers secure their open-source dependencies. McLuckie has been a vocal advocate for open-source sustainability and the importance of securing the software supply chain.
