# Henrik Karlsson
Swedish essayist. Writes [Escaping Flatland](https://www.henrikkarlsson.xyz/) on Substack — long-form essays on relationships, agency, creativity, and designing meaningful lives. Lives on a pine-covered island in the Baltic Sea with his wife Johanna and their two daughters. Full-time writer since 2020; newsletter has 48,000+ subscribers and pays all their bills.

- Design-thinking applied to life choices (partner selection, childhood environments, creative work)
