# Pablo Picasso ![[50 Resources/51 Attachments/51.03 Public/2025-08-22_Pablo_Picasso.jpg|400]] Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso (1881-1973) was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, and theatre designer who spent most of his adult life in France. One of the most influential artists of the 20th century, Picasso is known for co-founding the Cubist movement, inventing constructed sculpture, co-inventing collage, and developing a wide variety of artistic styles. His career is often divided into periods including the Blue Period (1901–1904), Rose Period (1904–1906), African-influenced Period (1907–1909), and various phases of Cubism. Among his most famous works are "Les Demoiselles d'Avignon" (1907) and "Guernica" (1937).
